Time With Boys is Time Well Spent

We’re all social creatures.

We crave connection with people who validate us, seek care from friends and family, and search for mentorship from those we look up to.

And for youth, the opportunity to socialize isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity.

As part of their development, young people need social connections to feel secure in their identity while finding their place in the world. And COVID-19 suddenly squeezed all of their social interactions into a small screen on their devices.

Youth have been experiencing the extraordinary stress of the pandemic while being separated from a large part of their support system that normally backs them up.

While we’ve been able to slowly return to life in person, this year has continued to be volatile.

Now more than ever, we need to spend more time with boys and young men.

Not many safe spaces exist for them—either physically or virtually—where they are met with both empathy and accountability. With or without COVID, boys are spending a lot of time online. Instead of being a place for positive growth, the internet is often a slippery slope into violent extremism, especially for boys and young men, who make up the majority of those radicalized by hateful rhetoric.

But it doesn’t have to be this way.

This fall, you can help us reach more boys by becoming a Next Gen Menber.

We will continue to connect with boys—at school, on our online Discord server, and in the community. But we can’t do it without you.

Our Next Gen Menbers contribute an average of $12.50/month each, which means each person gives us an extra 30 minutes of time with youth.

To walk alongside boys as they return to school, we need your support to reach our goal of spending 50 hours a month with youth. That’s 3,000 minutes of caring and fun spaces that support youth development and mental health.

As a Next Gen Menber, you are investing in them, in us, and in yourself.

You already know how our work benefits youth and how your support keeps the lights on. But what’s in it for you?

Membership comes with perks—you can enjoy exclusive launches, discounts on offerings, free entry to NGM Circle events, and access to our private online forum (read: no trolls).

We’re already at 75 Next Gen Menbers; we just need YOU!
