Voice Male Talks: Supporting Men’s Mental Health in Male-Dominant Workplaces

In many male-dominant industries - like forestry, trades, natural resources, and agriculture - talking about mental health is still taboo. While physical health and safety have rightly become priorities, being open about mental health can still feel like a huge risk - one that might cost men respect, opportunities, and/or social connection.

And the toll is mounting. High rates of depression, suicide, burnout, and emotional isolation are widespread across male-dominant workplaces, where cultures often reward stoicism and stigmatize seeking help. Left ignored, these challenges lead to issues in retention, morale, and even the bottom line.

Good news: These industries are well-placed to change this story.

The same values that define these sectors – teamwork, innovation, resilience – are powerful tools for shifting the culture around mental health. When leaders and peers leverage these capabilities to create brave spaces for honest conversations, they signal that great strength is found in vulnerability and care, leading to better outcomes for staff and companies alike.

Join leading experts working to transform male-dominant industries as they share practical strategies to support men’s mental health and foster safer, stronger workplace cultures.

Speakers will take on urgent questions, such as:
➡️ How can we introduce mental health initiatives in workplaces where stigma still runs deep?
➡️ What structural changes can be implemented to better support men’s mental health at work?
➡️ How can leaders role model healthier norms to build trust and reduce the stigma around men speaking up?

By attending, you’ll gain skills and actionable strategies to better support men’s mental health in your workplace.
