Since 2019, Thorn has undertaken multiple research initiatives focused on better understanding the experiences, challenges, and risks that young people are facing in online spaces today. In past research, Thorn has investigated the attitudes and experiences youth have with online grooming, sharing of “nudes,” and nonconsensual reshares, as well as how they do—or do not—navigate attempts to disclose their online sexual experiences.
This report presents the latest year of data in Thorn’s annual monitoring research and, where available, includes insights about how the data has changed over time.
