Your Teen Mag recently hosted a Q&A with middle school educator Phyllis Fagell about parenting in the midst of a pandemic. “It’s funny thinking about how boys and girls are using technology so differently,” she said. “But if your child is using it in a way that is helping them connect to others, assuming they’re interacting with kids who are kind and who bring out the best in them, that’s going to help their mental health.”

We know that boys’ friendships are deeply important to them, and we know that connecting virtually might not be so easy. So we wrote down some tips for youth about staying connected at a distance.
